Summer Residency Intern Positions 2014

Through training, creating, learning performance skills, participants will gain the experience that being a member of a Performing Troupe offers.

When:  July 1 – July 27, 2014 (July 4-6 Break)

What:  Flock Residency program is for individual youths and adults, to explore their unique skills and develop their own work.  Training and experience includes their participation in the process of mounting a full production of HEALING.

Where: Star Mountain, Sharon, Vermont 05065

Space: Magical evocative surroundings for rehearsal , performance & living space; includes; Farm House, Gardens, Workshop, Pond, Barn and Star Mountain Amphitheater.  Interns experience and are inspired by living co-opperativiley within Vermont’s natural beauty and with nature.

 

The Flock Expereince: Flock Dance technique combines modern & ethnic dance with theater, art and magnificent music.  The style examines the ways people experience the world, encounter the world and express it.  Interns work with and alongside the Flock Dance Troupe which is made up of professionals and community members.

 

What it will be Like:

     * Participation in daily early morning class.

     * Creative Choreographing Morning Rehearsals.

     * Creations of your own piece, to be presented.

     * Afternoon Tech and Production work.

     * Cooperative living with little impact on the natural environment.

     * Food gathered fresh from the garden or as locally as possible.

     * Sleeping options, part or full time: house, barn, tent  or cabin.

     * Beautiful setting with a pond for swimming.

Costs:

Residency:  $500 for a 3 week residency, includes Room & Board.

Day Interns:  $300
